How does the Drive X work?
The Drive X works in 3 simple steps:
- The outside antenna, whether it's a magnet mount or a hard mount, pulls in weak 4G LTE and 3G signals.
- The Drive X amplifier boosts the signal.
- The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal inside your car, truck, SUV, RV, or boat.

Why should I buy the Drive X?
The weBoost Drive X is a favorite value signal booster for vehicles, including cars, SUVs, trucks, semis, RVs, boats, and more.
It's an affordable, multi-user amplifier capable of communicating with relatively far distant towers for reliable cell signal on urban, suburban, and some rural roads. You and your passengers will be able to enjoy crystal clear
voice quality, faster data, and longer battery life.
The Drive X is less powerful than its sister booster, the weBoost Drive Reach. If you find yourself driving in extremely rural, off-the-grid areas, we recommend
that.

How much coverage does the Drive X provide?
In-vehicle coverage all depends on your outside signal strength. In strong signal areas, you can get up to full cabin coverage. However, while driving in weak signal areas, your mobile device may need to be about an arm's length
(or closer) to the indoor antenna.
Indoor coverage for RVs is different since the Drive X RV kit utilizes different antenna configurations. In general, you can get up to 10 ft of coverage from the inside antenna in strong signal areas. The weaker the outside
signal becomes, the closer you'll need to be to the inside antenna.
What's the difference between all Drive X Kits?
The main difference between all Drive X kits comes down to the external antennas. Each antenna is specially designed to fit different vehicle applications for optimal performance. For more details, refer to the Drive X Vehicle
Applications tab.
What's the difference between the Drive X and the Drive Reach?
In short, the Drive X is less powerful than the Drive Reach, making the Drive Reach better suited for extremely weak signal environments.
What's the difference between the Drive X and Drive 4G-X?
The Drive X is an upgraded version of the now-discontinued Drive 4G-X.
Do the Drive X kits only work in vehicles?
Yes. The Drive X kits are designed for passenger vehicles only (cars, SUVs, trucks, RVs, etc.). It is not recommended to use any Drive X configuration in residential buildings. Check out our home boosters for
residential use.
