How does installation work?
If you're looking for better signal in your RV on the road more than while parked, check out the Drive Reach RV.
Initial Setup: These steps will only need to be performed once.
- Place Amplifier - Place your amplifier in an area of your RV or camper near a power source. Make sure it is in a dry area that doesn't get too hot or too cold.
- Place Indoor Antenna - Place the panel antenna. We recommend placing the panel antenna in an area of your RV far away from where you plan to use the outdoor antenna.
- Run and Prepare Cable - Run cable from your amplifier to your indoor antenna, and create an avenue for a cable to be run to the outdoor antenna. This can be achieved however you wish: some common solutions include drilling, or making use of your window to run cable through. Simply have this ready for when you need to install the outdoor antenna to limit your installation time in the future.
- Attach Yagi Antenna to Telescoping Pole - Simply attach the yagi antenna to the included telescoping pole mount.
Outdoor Antenna Setup and Takedown: These steps will need to be repeated each time you park.
- Locate Your Nearest Cell Tower - This can be achieved either through line of site, or, more likely, you'll need to make use of an app such as the OpenSignal app if you have an iPhone, or the Network Cell Info Lite app for Android. Point the yagi in the direction indicated.
- Raise Pole and Run Cable to Amplifier - Raise pole as high as possible. This is not only to avoid interference from trees and the like, but to achieve 20 feet of vertical separation from your inside antenna, which is important for maximum performance.
- Take Down Antenna When Ready to Leave - Simply retract the telescoping pole, detach cable, and store both inside your RV when you're packing up.

Where can I use this booster?
The weBoost Destination RV is created for stationary RVs, campers, mobile homes, and trailers only. It is not meant to be used while driving.
It cannot be used outdoors.

What do the lights mean?
Green
Everything is working perfectly. Your signal booster is amplifying at maximum capacity.
Red
Your outside antenna is pulling in signal from your inside antenna instead of the cell tower. This is called a feedback loop or oscillation. Call your installer to get this fixed.
Orange
The outside antenna is pulling in too much signal from the cell tower. To avoid overloading, your amplifier has to shut down. This can be solved with a small adjustment to your outside antenna. Point it slightly away from the cell tower. Do this in small increments. Make sure to power off, power on your booster to ensure the amplifier is updating the light status. Green is a go.
Green & Red (Blinking)
Your outside antenna is pulling in signal from the cell tower AND your inside antenna. Your amplifier still works, but it's operating at reduced power. Call your installer if you see this problem.
Green & Orange (Blinking)
Your outside antenna is pulling in too much signal from the cell tower. It isn't enough to overload the amplifier, but it's operating at reduced power. This can be solved with a small adjustment to your outside antenna. Point it slightly away from the cell tower. Do this in small increments. Make sure to power off, power on your booster to ensure the amplifier is updating the light status. Green is a go.

How do I get the Destination RV connected to my phone?
The weBoost Destination RV amplifies the signal reaching your phone at the source, so your phone doesn't need to “connect” to anything. It isn't a WiFi router - if your phone can detect cellular signal, then it will pick up the amplified signal the booster emits.

How can I determine the amount of boost I'm getting?
Get the OpenSignal app if you have an iPhone, or the Network Cell Info Lite app for Android, and get reading your signal strength in standard dB (decibel) measurement. The closer to 0 your number, the stronger your signal.

What is the return policy?
If you decide to return your weBoost Destination RV within the 30 day window, simply unplug the amplifier from the cables and email (sales@wilsonamplifiers.ca) or call us ( 1-800-373-2927). We'd be happy to help with the refund process. We only accept the complete kit as we originally sent it to you.
